Your Hard Knox Roller Girls are raring to hit the floor to open up the 2013 Knoxville Roller Derby home season! Your Hard Knox Brawlers hit the floor with the Nashville Brawl Stars (NBS) starting at 6pm. Your Brawlers had a stellar record of 6:3 for 2012 and is sure to continue the tradition into the 2013 season. NBS is nothing to take lightly and The Brawlers will need to fight hard to keep up their streak.

Starting at 8pm your Hard Knox Allstars take on New River Valley Roller Girls (NRV) of Christiansburg VA. These teams battled it out at NRV’s season opener back in March of 2012 where HKRG narrowly took home the win. The game was quite a nail bitter with lead changes back and forth a few times before HKRG finally secured the win. NRV has trained hard and is sure to come back with vengeance! This time the match up will be at HKRG’s house which is sure to force your home team to push through to another win. Come out early and get a good seat up close to the action!

The featured charity of the night is The Knox Volunteers of America. Volunteers of America is a national organization that provides support to veterans and their families. The Knoxville branch focuses on support services such as health care, daily living assistance, transportation, legal and even child care assistance as well as other essential services. The Civil Air Unit will be presenting the colors for a full salute to our armed forces. The Hard Knox Roller Girls urge you to support your local community!

Special guest Gunner from WIVK will be on hand to blow the first whistle.

HKRG is hosting a bike night at this bout. Bikes can park on the plaza for free. Entry into the bike show (not required) is $15 and includes your admission to the bouts. Awards will be presented during halftime of the Allstars bout.
