The Hard Knox Roller Girls are Knoxville's first and only all female flat track roller derby league. We are fiercely aggressive, strongly competitive, beautiful, capable athletes. We are Hard Knox!

Our Mission

The Hard Knox Roller Girls (HKRG) is an all female flat track roller derby league located in Knoxville, TN. We are a competitive sports organization who strives to improve individual athleticism, self-discipline, and character while promoting team unity. We are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and our program provides structured training, instruction, and competition, preparing our members to represent Knoxville at a national level.

About the Roller Girls

Founded in January 2006, the Hard Knox Roller Girls includes women representing all walks of life--from students to mothers to professionals to wives and everything in between--yet all maintain the same underlying spirit: that of a Warrior, a Woman, and a Winner. As an official WFTDA league, HKRG is a licensed 501c3 non-profit organization that is skater owned and operated and is dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities, and charity sponsorship. The mission of the Hard Knox Roller Girls is to provide athletic entertainment while promoting the sport of roller derby. The Hard Knox Roller Girls have been competing since 2006, making their way to the 2010 South Central Regional Tournament, and helping to build the sport of roller derby worldwide. The Hard Knox Roller Girls are nationally ranked and highly competitive. All skaters, referees, officials and bout organizers are volunteers, and rely heavily on the support of fans and local businesses. Visit our "Sponsors" page to learn more about how to become a sponsor of Hard Knox.

Paying it Forward

The members of HKRG can be seen all over Knoxville and the surrounding areas supporting such charities as: the Girls Scouts of America, Young-Williams Animal Center, Disabled American Veterans, the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Alzheimer’s Association, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and so many more wonderful organizations.
